Assignment #5 Character Development
In this myth, there are two main characters. Medusa and myself. Before I cured her, Medusa was beautiful. She had milky white skin, shiny hair, deep green eyes, and lips redder than a rose. Everywhere Medusa went she acted self-important and arrogant. She thought she was more beautiful than anything on earth, even the gods. In this story I look how I always look. White greek toga, blonde hair, and green eyes. I am angry in this story at Medusa for daring to compare herself to me. After she is cursed, Medusa looks hideous. Her hair is a tangled mess of hissing snakes, her skin is shallow and green, her eyes narrow and snakelike and anyone who looks at her will be turned into stone.
Why did you changed Medusa's looks so that when people look at her they turn to stone? I feel that that would not help you or anyone in the long run. Now many people die from just looking at her. For being the goddess of wisdom, I did not find the choice of also giving Medusa the power to turn someone to stone just by looking at them smart. Did you just not think ahead of yourself or not care about the outcomes for other innocent people who may have accidentally looked at Medusa?
ReplyDeleteWell Medusa loved being looked at as much as she liked looking at herself. There would be no other way to teach her a lesson. Also, I did send her to the end of the earth so you would only turn into stone if you went looking for her.
DeleteI too am curious about this. Does it perhaps have something to do with you also being the goddess of war?
ReplyDeleteWhen I see injustice I always win against it. And yes, maybe I am a little competitive but that is one of the reasons why I am the goddess of war.
